In addition to his work in the sport, Atlas is the founder of the Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Foundation, which resides on Staten Island. The charity organization generates funding for underprivileged and underserved students, as well as anyone who may be afflicted by sickness or other ills in life.
Teddy Atlas and the Dr. Atlas Foundation have long given back to Staten Island, often through the realm of sports. The Foundation kept up an annual tradition last month, sending student-athletes and coaches from the McKee/Staten Island Tech football program to former NFL coach Eric Mangini’s fundamentals camp in Hartford, Connecticut.

Legendary boxing trainer and ESPN commentator, Teddy Atlas, joined members of My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) from PS 57 in Clifton and representatives from Stop & Shop, Port Richmond, to distribute over 1,000 Easter hams to Staten Island families.
