The Mickey and Kathy Coughlin Memorial  Scholarship Application

Dear Applicant,

Please provide the requested information by 4/15 of your submission year. 

Applicants should be Curtis High School or McKee High School graduates in need of financial assistance for trade school or college with a 3.5 GPA or better. Applicants who meet the following criteria is eligible to apply for the Scholarship:

• Staten Island Residents.
• Graduates of Curtis High School or McKee High School
• Determined to enroll in an accredited College or University immediately following their graduation and committed to do so despite unfavorable circumstances in their lives.
• Enrolled in a High School located in Staten Island.
• A Student currently in the 12th grade with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Does not have a full scholarship to attend an accredited College or University.
• Able to demonstrate financial need.

PLEASE SUBMIT WITH THIS APPLICATION:

- One or more letters of recommendation from teachers, the principal/vice   principal and/or guidance counselor.

- High school transcript and most recent report card.

- Acceptance letters and/or cover sheets of applications to colleges.

- One or more letters of recommendation from employer, coach and/or other adult with knowledge of applicant.

- A brief essay explaining why you deserve this scholarship and how it will help you advance to the next stage of your life.
